Gravy’s bar and lounge is a mix of the traditional and the contemporary in its design and cocktails. Beverage Director and native New Orleanian, Lajarius Hollins, has transformed many of the Southern Classics into chic concoctions that entice the palette.
Through the “Classics” list, we take a journey in to the past with such renowned drinks as the Sazerac (circa 1840), Mint Julep (circa 1803), Pimm’s Cup (circa 1823) and Hurricane (circa 1940). Although they have evolved over their lifetimes, these cocktails have stood the test of time and should be enjoyed , as they always have been, in the company of good friends and family.
With “Signature” drinks, L.J. takes staple elements of the South, such as bitters, anise, tea leafs and moonshine to create flavors that transport you to a warmer climate.
